Due to several breaking changes to how conference data is stored, the new version will NOT be able to read and open old conference datas.
To prioritize the integrity of data and process of the server, disconnection due to internet connection became stricter. Previously, there was a longer time frame for users to reconnect to the server, and continue with the conference. However, this sometimes caused chain of errors that affected future actions. To prevent further damage, if the user is disconnected for at most a minute, the user will be forced out of the conference.
Although this update had a focus on removing all known bugs, since Placard is still developing, there may be some bugs left. If an issue is encountered, it is advisable to restart the app; This should temporarily fix majority of the issues.
Bug Fixes:
Country info panel is no longer dug under resolution UI when in resolution tab.
Warning for chats being visible to all the chairs is now shown permanently at the start of the chat
Lag caused on some devices due to pushing the content from opening and closing the tabs is now fixed
Previously, there was a rare case where even if conference code is displayed, no one could have joined the conference. This bug has now been fixed.
Previously, when the chair's computer sleeps, some crucial information such as amendments was not correctly sent to the chair. Now, the computer sleeping is equivalent to quitting Placard, and disconnect.
Previously, even if the conference ends, the chair's screen still appeared as though the conference is online. Now, it became consistent, and the chair will be notified that the conference ended when it no longer exists in server.
The reconnection icon when disconnected in the main screen (place where there are conferences) is now correct.
The button alignment of reconnection popup is now more natural.
Previously, if delegate casts vote at the same time as when chair moves on to manual mode, the UI would get bugged. Now, the chair's action will be prioritized.
Previously, throughout the conference, the connected user's list got inconsistent. Now, at a constant interval, the connection screen gets updated to the latest information to prevent this inconsistency.
Previously, there was an issue with switching session mid-conference. This has been fixed.
Previously, there was an issue where the delegates could not see the result of the vote after the voting session ended. This has been fixed
Previously, the room number was required to create the conference. Now, this information is no longer requested, and is gone from the app as a whole.
Previously, there was a method to generate conference code and allow delegates to join without premium account. This has now been fixed.
Previously, rejoining the conference would have meant the loss of chat history. Now, unless the conference ends, the chat history is stored in the server. (It is destroyed immediately when the conference ends)
Previously, a conference could have been hosted while disconnected from server (but not in offline mode). Now, to host a conference offline, it is required to switch to offline mode.
